Echocardiography

An echocardiogram, is non-invasive ultrasound exam of the heart. Echocardiography is used to diagnose cardiovascular diseases.

  • It determine whether any chest pain is related to heart disease.
  • It assesses the size and shape of the heart,
  • It evaluates pumping capacity and the location and extent of any damage to its tissues.
  • It assesses diseases of the heart valves
  • Assess the heart wall motion to detect the presence of coronary artery disease,
  • It detects hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, in which the walls of the heart thickened.
